- The construction of Wheat Flour mill of Uni – President Vietnam began in 2001 with the total investment capital of USD 7.3 million, using the state of the art milling machines of the Swiss Buhler.
- In July 2003, Wheat flour mill was inaugurated and went into operation with the capacity of 250 metric tons per month.
- Inherent globalization experiences of Uni – President Group in HR and project management and step-by-step completion of starting business such as market analysis, raw material procurement, manufacture management and product research and development have been applied to Wheat Flour Division. Wheat flour division has had a priority strategy to meet demands of the animal and aqua feed and instant noodle factories of Uni – President Vietnam. And simultaneously Wheat Flour Division has had a sales strategy of penetrating further into domestic market of wheat flour. Wheat flour grades of high, medium and low wet gluten and specialized ones have been developed and supplied on market and to direct companies. End consumers trust in products of wheat flour.
- In January 2004, Wheat flour Division made profit. In August 2004, it worked to capacity but could not meet demands of the market. The consumption volume was up to 66,700 metric tons, turn – over was NTD 540 million, which is equal to VND 270 billion. Wheat Flour Division has continuously been contributing to the renowned trade mark of Uni – President Enterprises with its good quality products, after-sales services, promotions and bakery seminars. At the same time, research and development of new products has brought high profit to both Uni – President and customers.
